Sausage Dog Publishing produces books
featuring "Olli", the signing cartoon Monkey, and his family, and is owned by Garry Slack.
The
books and other associated products, based on British Sign Language (BSL), are
designed to help hearing babies and toddlers communicate with their carers more
effectively.
Garry says: "I'd worked in the field of interpreting and training BSL for
several years, but came to the realisation that I had more to offer,
particularly in the area of communication with young children.
So, I approached
John to help realise my vision of marketing the books that I'd written
featuring Olli.
John worked with me to develop the strategies to penetrate this marketplace,
including helping me to develop a web design brief and to manage the tendering
process.
As I'm a non-technical person, John's been an incredibly useful part of the
process, helping at each step of the way in his usual open, jargon free manner.
